Miss Martia Williams
Congratulations to Martia Williams for making history by being selected as the first National Engineering League Mathematics Education Research Intern. Martia is from Knightdale, NC and is currently a sophomore attending North Carolina State University. Martia is majoring in secondary mathematics education with a minor in English and is extremely passionate about improving our education system for the betterment of student learning. Additionally, Martia strives to obtain her Ph.D. in Educational Equity from NC State University with the hopes of enlightening other aspiring educators about the inequities of our public education system. Martia wants to establish herself as a positive educational change agent and wants to show other educators how they can help to change inequity related issues. Martia believes that her ultimate purpose in life is to help make education a valuable resource that is accessible to all students regardless of any obstacles due to socio-economic status.
