The 2021 National Engineering League Internship Selections
Mr. Elijah T. Provitt
Originally from Montgomery, Alabama, Elijah T. Provitt made history by becoming the first National Engineering League student selected for an internship in its HVAC trade division. Mr. Provitt is currently pursuing certification as a HVAC mechanic from Ashworth College in Norcross, GA. Provitt initially became interested in the HVAC industry during high school when he was offered the exposure to real life HVAC training and the option to learn the trade from industry professionals. Elijah ultimately believes people should pray about a blessing and actually put the necessary work behind the prayer to make the blessing a reality. The former Montgomery, AL Jefferson Davis High School band member is an avid baritone player and was an active member of their multimedia design group in which he was responsible for web design and commercial productions. In 2021, Provitt received a National Engineering League Technology Award in addition to a National Engineering League Tuition Assistance Scholarship due to his commitment to becoming a subject matter expert in the world of heating and cooling of residential and commercial HVAC systems. Elijah enjoys spending spare time with his family, driving, playing basketball, and challenging his little brothers in Apex video games.
