The 2022 National Engineering League Internship Selections
Mr. Jared Stancil
Jared Stancil is a high school junior and who will graduate from The Global Impact Academy in 2023 while dual enrolled at Georgia Military College. Jared plans to graduate from high school and pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. Engineering has always been a passion of his since being a member of his STEM Engineering Team in elementary school. Jared is currently leading efforts for GIA's Technology Student Association chapter and also serves an the school's NEL Student Engineering Ambassador (SEA) focused on technical exposure opportunities and diversity enhancement for his peers. His main hobby is tinkering with the mechanics and understanding the inner workings of different things.
Stancil is a well-rounded student and leader in the community. He has learned to focus on solutions to problems instead of focusing solely on the problem. Currently, he serves as the President of The Arrow Youth Leadership Council that involves young students training to be leaders in their schools and future work environment. Jared currently serves as a Vice President of his school’s Technology Student Association while simultaneously holding office with his class's student government association. Stancil loves learning and the challenges that come with developing innovative ways to solve problems.
